Abstract and Paper Submission

NYSEA invites submissions of individual paper and/or organized sessions for the 2017 annual conference. Graduate Students and undergraduate students are especially welcome. All areas of Economics will be considered. The abstract submission deadline is August 10, 2017.

Individual Papers

Individual presenters are invited to submit an abstract of including a title, author name(s), an abstract of no more than 350 words, JEL code(s), and keyword(s), via the NYSEA website at http://www.nyseconomicsassociation.org/Abstract/Create by August 10, 2017. A confirmation email will be sent immediately after your submission and a decision letter will be emailed to you within two weeks after the deadline.

Organized Sessions

If you are interested in organizing a complete session on a specific topic, please send your proposal to Dr. Xu Zhang, NYSEA President, at xu.zhang@farmingdale.edu by August 10, 2017. A complete session generally consists of 2-4 papers, an equal number of discussants and a session chair. To submit a complete session, please be sure to provide the following information: the session title; the name, affiliation and contact information of the session organizer, session chair, paper presenters and discussants; and one-page abstract for each individual paper in the session.

Undergraduate Student Paper Contest

There will be CASH awards for the best undergraduate student papers ranked in the first, second and third place. All inquiries and submissions for the UG Paper Contest should go to UGpaper@nyseconomicsassociation.org. Please refer to “NYSEA UG Paper Contest Flyer for details.

Registration and Payment

All conference presenters and participants must register for the conference. Registration can be made online via Stripe through NYSEA website at http:// www.nysea.org under “Annual Conference.” All presenters must register by September 12 to be included into the final program.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations must be received on or before September 22, 2017 to receive a partial refund. Cancellations received after September 22, 2017 are not eligible for a refund.

Hotel Accommodations

The Hilton Long Island Huntington Hotel has provided the NYSEA with a group rate on lodging ($155 for a Queen Room (two queen size beds) plus state and local taxes). The Cut-off Date for the group rate is 5 p. m on September 12, 2017. Reservations may be made online or by phone. If you are making reservations by telephone (Local # 631-577-1565 and/or 631-845-1000), please mention the "NYSEA" attendee code to obtain the group rate.
