Our Journals

The New York State Economics Association publishes two journals. Both publications are open access and are free for everyone to view and download. Our journals are indexed in EBSCO’s Business Source Complete. The NYER is included in the Australian Business Deans Council Journal Quality List and cited in Ulrich’s International Publication Directory. The paper submissions, peer review process, and publications in our journals are free.

New York Economic Review

The NYER publishes theoretical and empirical articles, and also interpretive reviews of the literature in the fields of economics and finance.

Conference Proceedings

Conference Proceedings is a journal that publishes selected articles presented at the NYSEA annual meetings.

NYSEA Membership

Whether you are a student, an established mid-career economist, or an emerging scholar in your field, our member resources can be an important part of your success.

  • Networking: NYSEA provides a friendly networking opportunity where you can find co-authors and constructive feedback on your research.

  • Annual Meeting: Registration fee for NYSEA Annual Meeting includes an NYSEA annual membership. Submit papers to be considered for presentation at the NYSEA Annual Meeting, volunteer to chair a session, or submit a full session proposal with other authors.

  • Elections of Officers and the Board: Members can attend the Annual Business Meeting and vote in an annual election of officers and the board.

  • News and Announcements: Receive online announcements of upcoming events, Calls for Papers, and publication alerts for NYSEA journals.
